William IV mahogany pedestal sideboard
Here we have this striking period mahogany sideboard.
This magnificent item of dining room furniture was made in the William IV period circa 1830-1840
The cabinet maker chose fabulous flame mahogany veneers to enhance the look of this flambuoyant piece.
The sideboard comes in to 4 pieces, the back rail can be removed and then the top section sits on a pair of pedestals.
The sideboard top with the upstand is fitted 3 drawers.
The pedestals each with a cupboard door, one fitted with a cellarette drawer. The doors with slab panels and with ornate carving with shells below. It stands on the most wonderful claw feet.
