Large Antique Colonial hardwood coffee table trunk
Here we have this magnificent large antique merchant chest.
These fantastic strong boxes have iron strapwork to protect them during the arduous journeys along the trade routes.
This trunk would have been used by a very wealthy merchant or person of high importance in the 19thc.
Due to its shape and size this makes a superb character coffee table as well as a conservation piece.
The lid lifts to reveal a large storage area with a further lidded storage box at one end.
