Description

Attractive Late 18th Century Painted Dial Longcase with Exotic Bird Decoration 8 Day Bell Striking Movement. False Plate Stamped Beilby & Hawthorn who are listed as working in Newcastle Upon Tyne between 1790-1817 when Beilby died. Dial Makers & Glass Bottle Moulds. They also worked in conjunction with William Whittaker of Halifax.

The Oak Case is a convenient seize being only 81.75in high excluding the Finials or 83.5in with, so under 7 foot.

The movement has been checked, oiled and offered in Full Working Antique Condition.
