Description

Attractive early/mid 19th century Mahogany, Oak and inlaid 8 day Bell striking Clock with Charming Hunting Scene Painted Dial.

Signed Gadsby of Leicester Likely to be Sarah circa 1835, as Richard is circa 1849 and Thomas died in 1826.

This must have been a much loved clock records show that in 2005 a Mrs Gadsby entrusted this clock to the care of Bell & Sons of Leicester (see photos) a removal and depository storeage company and so, must still have been in the Clockmakers Family up until that point.
