Description

EXQUISITE HANDMADE DECORATION ADORNS THIS FINE MAHOGANY/OAK LONGCASE WITH 8 DAY MOVEMENT BY DANIEL MOORE OF COVENTRY.

IN BRIAN LOOMES HE IS LISTED AS WORKING AT COVENTRY (WARKS) 1818-1839.

THEREAFTER AS MOORE & SON OR SONS 1839-50. IN FACT THE MOORES CONTINUED MAKING LONGCASES AT COVENTRY THROUGH JOSEPH AND THEN EDWARD BEYOND 1900.

THIS CLOCK HAS COME DIRECT FROM A LARGE COUNTRY FARM HOUSE WHERE THE FAMILY HAVE LOVED IT OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS & IS OFFERED IN FULL WORKING CONDITION.

THE QUALITY CASE AND HOOD HAVE FINE EXOTIC WOOD DECORATION. OF GOOD HEIGHT WITH ATTRACTIVE SLIM TRUNK, IT WILL STILL FIT IN MOST HOUSES.
