Description

This attractive well-proportioned small court cupboard dates from the early 17th Century. The architectural design and attractive applied fluted pilasters to the front are very similar to those on a similar cupboard sold by Sotheby's from the Clive Sherwood collection (Lot 250. This was dated as Elizabethan.
The cupboard shown here is very economically priced because it has had a Victorian makeover, with all the internal boards replaced plus some mouldings on the exterior. The work has been done very well, but please call for a complete condition report.
