Mid Victorian, English school portrait of a red coated officer, possibly a member of the life guards.A charming painting with a naive feel, the subject stands proudly in full uniform with Windsor Castle on the horizon.
In good, decorative order, re-lined canvas with a well executed, old repair to the area of the gentleman’s top right leg and the helmets chin strap.
