Description

A delightful bronze depicting putti playing piggyback after Leonhard Kern (German, 1588-1662). A cast of the same model dating c.1640 is in the Walters Art Musuem, Maryland.

The crisply cast bronze is of wonderful form form and verve, mounted atop a black marble base. There are some very small nibbles to the bottom of the base but generally the whole is in a very good condition throughout.
