Description

A fantastic grotesque bird inspired by Martin Brothers (fl.1870-1923) by Andrew Hull for Burslem Pottery. Signed and dated '05' to the base.

The figure has pale green hooked beak beneath a pair of stern eyes gazing up wearily. The wings are behind the back in an authoritative manner with the feet together upon the base.

Excellent condition throughout.
