Description

A fine large bronzed full length silhouette of a gentleman and horse by Henry Albert Frith (1819-1871),signed and dated '1947' to the lower left.

The gentleman wearing riding boots, jacket and top hat is holding a whip and saddle and leading his horse by the reins with trees to the distance. The work is finely done with delicate gilt, white and blue highlights animating the subjects.

There is some age tone to the paper in places but generally the work remains in a very good condition overall. The work is housed in a period maple frame which has some small signs of wear to the extremities but again generally remains in a very good condition and displays well.
