A delightful large 19th century three quarter length portrait depicting a young boy building a house of cards. Oil on canvas. English school.

The young boy stands next to a tapestry upholstered chair staring out of the canvas, pointing at cards held in his left hand with a house of cards sat on the table before him. An intriguing subject that really does draw the eye.

The work is house in a later silvered gilt frame.
