An unusual Victorian carved marble and slate paperweight of large proportions, depicting a snail amongst a plant with its head hidden behind a leaf.

The paperweight is a fantastic looking piece with the snail finely carved in high relief with exceptional attention to detail throughout.

There are a few nibbles to the extremities in areas but generally the whole displays very well indeed.
