Brass and Copper Candlesticks – Townshend & Co

Description
A fabulous pair of brass and copper candlesticks by Townshend and Co dating to around 1900. As can be seen in the photos, they are in excellent condition with no damage. They have been thoroughly cleaned, polished and waxed. To the base of each candlestick is stamped Townshend & Co – a Birmingham based manufacturer of quality brass and copper items. The candlesticks stand 22 cm in height and have a maximum diameter at the base of 15.5 cm. Although I have seen numerous beautiful candlesticks by Townshend & Co., I have not seen such an ornate style by this manufacturer before.If you have any questions, please get in touch.
