French Patinated Bronze and Ormolu Inkstand c1875

Description
A beautiful French inkstand circa 1875 in excellent condition. The ormolu contrasts with the dark brown patination to give a very striking appearance. The glass inkwells are also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and only a little surface wear to the bases. The lids to the inkwells sit loosely on the inkwells and we suspect that they once had cork stoppers fitted to the undersides. The inkstand is 32 cm wide and 18 cm deep. The height to the top of the central candle holder is 8 cm.If you have any questions, please get in touch.
