Description

Circa 1900, Louis XV style cast brass and mesh fire screen. The highly Rococo shaped screen with its foliate casting and C & S -scrolls which continue all around the cartouche shaped frame. The centre of the frame is covered with mesh and in the centre there is a cast motif of a cherub lying beneath some foliate. The whole piece stands on 4 elegant Rocco feet which are smothered in foliate carving and c-scrolls.
