Description

Circa 1970s. A quality set of 8 mahogany Hepplewhite style pierced back chairs, consisting of 6 side chairs and 2 armchairs, the shaped raised back with a pierced Prince of Wales plume in the center with the other sections at the back entwined with carved swags with a sun burst in the base. A large stuff over seat finished in fine gimp, the curved arms supported on well-shaped uprights with flower head terminals. The back legs are square and slightly out swept, the front legs are square, tapering and with a slight reeding on the fore edge and finishing on an extended spade foot.
