Description
Circa 1820. Rare hand-decorated free-standing satinwood knee-hole desk. The shaped top in figured satinwood with hand-painted foliate decoration in a central panel surrounded by peripheral boxwood inlay and foliate decorated rosewood banding. The three shaped-front frieze drawers with original ormolu rococo handles and escutcheons separated by urn-decorated panels. The twin pedestals with three graduated drawers with matching handles and painted decoration with a central back panel. The desk sides decorated with urns and flowers.143cm Wide, 80cm Deep, 84cm Tall
