Description

Circa 1860. A stylish and elegant green painted and gilded pier mirror. The faceted moulded top with deep frieze with classical figures. The original beveled mirror is flanked by a pair of turned pilasters with gilding on the top, center and base, capped by two ovals gilded patrae. The back of the mirror has a trade label partially legible. The first name made out as ‘John’ and ‘hall picture frames recycled and re gilded’ at an address in York.
