Circa 1890. A large George III style mahogany framed cheval mirror. The mirror in a mahogany frame with a shaped top, supported on two uprights, surmounted by a pair of elegant finials, with a large pair cast brass axehead drops to lock the mirror in position, the base with a shaped stretcher the mirror rests on four elegant squat cabriole legs finishing on an extended pad foot. To the underside of the base is a maker’s label ‘Muirhead Moffat and Company Antiques Glasgow’.187cm H, 57cm W, 62cm D
