Georgian Style Mahogany and Gilded Mirror

Description
Circa 1880. A good George III style carved mahogany and gilded wall mirror. The top surmounted with a gilded Hoho bird with fine fret work on all sides. There is further carved and gilded work on the sides, the rectangular mirror is contained in a carved and gilded gesso slip, the shaped bottom with a carved and gilded shell. Unusually the mirror has a stand at the back so it can either be used as a strut mirror or hung on the wall.92cm H, 52cm W
