Description

Circa 1820. A quality George IV gilded tryptic overmantel mirror. The ebonized top with a triple gilded frieze beneath which follows the form of the top, with gilded balls in the middle section, a wonderful ribbed section with the original gilding beneath, with three mirrors each framed with a moulded gilded slip and four fluted columns, capped with elegant capitals, separating each of the mirrors, sitting on a simple block with further mouldings, all resting on an ebonized base.
