Description

Circa 1880, white marble and gilt mounted mantel clock. Topped with a classic urn and gilded Roman goddess, the main body of the clock has chamfered corners with golden finials held in place by gilded brackets. The side has gilded lion mask faces and the front has bevelled edge glass covering a clock face with makers name of James Ritchie & Son, 25 Leith Street, Edinburgh. Standing on 4 paw feet of a winged griffin, with gilded foliate designs it has been serviced.
