Description

Circa 1830, carved giltwood William IV overmantel mirror. The rectangular shaped mirror has a scrolling rococo top, which continues down to form the top and corner of the frame with foliate carving. The main body of the frame is moulded on both sides and at the base is further foliate carving with upright carved leaves and long scrolling c-scrolls and s- scrolls form the base with a central small carved section. The frame retains its original mirror plate and original gilding.
