Description

Circa 1880, late Victorian carved gesso and gilded overmantel mirror. With dome top and carved, mounted gesso pediment decorated with flowers and leaves and a carved cartouche to the centre. Containing the original mirror plate, the frame has an external beading and a carved pattern to the facing, with a mixture of oval and flower heads. There are C scrolls to either side of the bottom, all on a gilded mahogany shaped base.
