Description

Circa 1780, George III walnut and burr walnut toilet mirror. The original hand bevelled glass is contained in a shaped frame with a domed top. This is held in place by cast brass axe head drops on 2 tapering uprights which finish in small finials. At the base is a burr walnut section with matching veneers which is crossbanded in satinwood and walnut. There is a cushion shaped drawer with a stylish cast brass escutcheon and two brass knob handles, above 3 further small shaped drawers. There is a concave moulded edge and beneath this is shaped apron in the centre, and all stands on bracket feet.
