Description

Circa 1880, large pair of rectangular gilded mirrors, surmounted by a carved ribbon with oil and water gilding finish that is intertwined with a garland that drapes down over the top of the mirror and over roundels down the sides. The bevelled edge mirror are in excellent condition. The base of the mirrors contains a gilded rectangular block, which may originally have contained sconces or alternatively plaques for an oil painting. The mirrors are of great colour, style and are in excellent condition.

Size 151cm high and 154cm high x 110cm wide.
