Terrestrial globe by J & B Cary, circa 1818. A beautiful and original globe, suspended on an indicated brass Meriden circle, which can be adjust to show the Southern Hemisphere. The interesting makers label refers to the different tracks of Captain Cook and the new discoveries made by him & other circumnavigators. The globe is in exceptional original condition. This fantastic conversation piece is almost like a geography lesson. Dia 45.5 cms.
