James Seymour ADAMS (act.1883-1888) English SchoolThe Goose Herd 1887
James Seymour Adams was a genre painter specialising in the rural idyll. He was active in the last quarter of the 19th century. The painting is signed and dated 1887 lower left. Adams is recorded as living at 194 New Road North, Islington, London. He exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street Galleries.
Condition
Minor craquelure to paint surface, otherwise in good original condition.
