Description

A Victorian folding campaign chair constructed in beech with a ladder back incorporating three shaped rails above a woven cane seat raised on slender shaped legs united by turned stretchers.

The piece folds via an ingenious mechanism with shaped timber support arms and iron pivot plates, folding to an exceptionally compact size for storage and transit.

Stamped with a British Government broad arrow property mark to the rear of the seat.

Very good antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
