Description

A mid Victorian mahogany pedestal side table, the well-figured rectangular top finished on all sides featuring a chamfered edge, supported on a tapering octagonal column with a moulded collar above a quadriform base set on four bold bun feet.

The design is restrained yet well-proportioned, showing the transitional style of the period, with lingering Regency influence meeting Victorian tastes. Its scale makes it particularly versatile, equally at home against a wall, beside a chair or standing freely as a centrepiece.

Presented in very good antique condition with a rich patina and light surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
