Fine Anglo-Saxon/Norman Sword, Second half of the 11thC.
3 cross potents inlaid in each face of the blade, signifying Holly Trinity. Early form of a Brazil nut pommel.
Found in 1951 in the River Wallers Haven, East Sussex.
Fine river found condition.
