WWI Trench Art Large and Heavy Brass Lidded BoxPossibly made as tobacco jar.
Made from brass shell cases.
Stamped Sep 1917 on the lid and Nov 1917 on the base. Plenty of other impressed marks, difficult to decipher.
Showing signs of age but still very decorative and useful box.
