WWII Bronze Vessels with Broad Arrow Marks, to signify military use.Possibly Indian, stamped with Ministry of Supply Broad Arrow and inspection numbers 3 and 10.
High quality, heavy bronze, has a nice ring when struck. Decoration and wonderful patina may indicate much older age (19th C) being repurposed during the war.
Listed as a pair but not identical.
Widest diameter ca 12.5cm, 9cm across the top opening.
Weight of the vessels: 1.05 kg and 1.2 kg respectively.
Showing signs of use and patina but no damage.
Listed items are usually available to view at the Red House Antiques Centre in York.
