Description

A beautiful, unique Chinese red lacquered low altar table from the 19th century. This table is long and rather low (coffee table height) with a beautiful split bamboo top. The front legs of the table have beautifully carved details of a Chinese dragon (fu dog). The table has a fantastic lustre and patina highlighted with remnants of gold gilt on all carved details. There are 2 splits in the top wooden planks with earlier repairs (on the bottom but not visible). This only adds to the patina and rustic feel of this piece and doesn't compromise the structural integrity of the table at all.
