Mahogany And Giltwood Overmantle Mirror

Description
A very fine late 19th century mahogany and gilt overmantle bevelled mirror in William Kent style with beautifully hand-carved foliate and floral side details. The top has a broken-arch swan neck pediment surrounding a central urn and is further decorated with finely carved gilt details and flowers. The bottom of the mirror has acanthus leaf scrolls and further flower decorations with egg and dart carved decorations around the mirror. This bevelled mirror is of very fine quality with all hand-carved giltwood decorations.DateLate 19th Century :
