Silver teapot Sheffield 1909 Deakin & Sons.
Description
An attractive solid silver teapot, assayed in Sheffield and hallmarkedin 1909 for James Deakin and Sons.A wyvern pattern around the base which is typical of the period and an oblong lid with shells at the corners with gadrooning to the edges.
It is stood on four round ball feet which gives it an attractive look.
The condition is very good with no dents or scratches.
It holds 2 to 4 cups of tea and pours very well without any dribbling.
From the handle to the spout is 9.5 inches or 24 centimeters. The height is 5 inches or 13 centimeters and it has a gross weight of 395 grams.
