Description

A wonderful solid silver Chalice with planishing to the bowl, foot and stem. There are highlights of gilding in many areas which gives a pleasant glow to it. On the stem there are two knots which are designed with very typical Arts & Crafts naturalistic decoration.
It is assayed in London in 1912 and the silversmith is Flannigans of Manchester, which is also marked on the underside of the foot. Finnegans had retail premises in Bond Street London, which was opposite Aspreys, and apparently they had a very good working relationship.
To the foot of the Chalice is a 50th anniversary inscription that I have left as part of the history of this lovely piece of silver.

It stands 17.5 centimeters high and the bowl has a diameter of 11 centimeters. It weighs 260 grams.

It is in very good condition with some expected wear to the gilding. No dings or dents or repairs.

UK special delivery and quality packaging is £15.00.
