Description
A very attractive Georgian helmet shaped cream or sauce jug with etched foliate swags around the base, and a vacant cartouche to the front. The inside has been gilded and it also has a rolled rim, which enhances the quality look and feel. The hallmark is by the London Assay Office in 1798 with the silversmiths mark for Thomas Merton.It certainly would look stunning on the Christmas table.
The height is 11 cms to the handle, and it weighs 126 grams.
It is in very good condition with only a slight ding to the front which is hardly noticeable.
