Engraved 19th Century Glass Serving Rummer

Technical Description
Union engraved 19th century glass serving rummer. The bucket bowl is engraved with a cartouche containing JT flanked by a thistle and rose. A superb two-masted ocean-going sail and paddle steamship has been engraved opposite. A flattened ball knopped stem joins the bowl to the conical foot complete with polished pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the Aaron Manby (The first iron steamship to go to sea) was completed in April 1822.
