Technical Description

A 19th century Moser glass goblet. The bucket bowl features diagonal panels with flashed blue panels bordered with gilding. The entire piece is enamelled in multiple colours with rococo scrolls. The stem is slice cut with a faceted ball knop. Slice cutting continues down the foot which has a van dyke rim which is gilded. A broad polished pontil completes the piece.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time Carnegie Hall opened in New York. The great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a guest conductor for the opening night on the 5th of May 1891.
