ZENITH Gold filled full hunter Pocket Watch
With Original Zenith Tag Swiss 1915
You are bidding on an original Zenith full hunter high regulator pocket watch made in Switzerland in 1915. The pocket watch is complete with original Zenith red tag.
Dial: The white enamel dial has nice black Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, nice blacked chased hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial is signed “ W Arthur Paisley, Zenith”.
Movement: The high-grade Swiss made gilt frosted anchor lever escapement movement has 17 jewels, Breguet spiral, high swan regulator and compensated balance. The movement is signed: “Zenith, Swiss Made, 17 Jewels” and numbered: 2622233. The movement is in working condition however we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy for an antique watch.
Case: The watch lies in a Gold-filled case with a smooth finish with monogram initials RL. The inner side of the case has the STAR Denison watch case stamp in the middle. The case is numbered: 876787.
History William Arthur Paisley: Based on recent findings, "William Arthur" was a 19th-century watchmaker and jeweller located at 69-71 High Street in Paisley, Scotland, whose historical sign was uncovered during storms in early 2025. Records indicate a William Arthur (1832-1886) is buried in Woodside Cemetery, Paisley, and a jewellery shop under this name existed on High Street into the 1960s.
