A steel open face Swiss Railway Chronometer Postala pocket watch, made in 1900s.
DIAL: The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions, inner Red 24 hour, a subsidiary second’s dial at the six and blued hands. The dial is signed in the upper centre: “Chronometre Postala”.
MOVEMENT: The pin lever anchor movement with swan high regulator 16 rubies is in good working condition however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
CASE: The watch lies in a steel open face case. The back of the case has the Swiss Railway symbol. In the inner side of the case, the cuvette shows the engravement in French “ Ancre de Haute Precision - Postala - Balancier Compense- 16 Rubis” together with 7 medals. The inner side of the case is numbered: 84809.
