Silver & Mother of Pearl, Edwardian Fruit Knife
Hallmarked for Sheffield 1910 - date letter - s
The maker`s mark - T.M for Thomas Marples,
Arundel Street, Sheffield.
A small fruit knife in quite good condition.
The blade opens and closes correctly - almost snaps at 180 degrees, and closes correctly. The blade is clean along the length of both sides, but the silver is very thin. A tiny dent on the back which coincides with the hallmarks.

Attractive shaped mother of pearl scales to both sides,with crimping along the edges, and with nickel hinge facings. A silver, rectangular, vacant cartouche in the centre of the MoP.
Excellent hallmarks and clean deep thumb nail groove.

Quite good, little used condition. 115 years old.

Open length:- 105 millimetres.
Closed length:- 63 mms.
Knife weight:- 14.6 grams.
