Description

Edwardian Silver Fruit Knife with silver casings
Hallmarked for Sheffield 1904/5
and with the maker`s mark - A.D, for Arthur Downing,
Warstone Lane, Birmingham.

A very good, used, medium sized fruit knife.
A little damage at the tip of the blade, and a few shallow scratches caused by opening and closing.
A hinged D ring at the end of the handle and a silver suspension ring for attachment to a chain.
The blade opens and closes correctly - snaps at fully open, and snaps closed.
The scales are both hallmarked,- one with an "e" for 1904 and the other with an "f" for 1905. There is, also, an upper case "L" on both sides. I have no idea as to what it represents.

Good used condition. 118 years old. No undescribed faults.
