Description

George III flame mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers (circa 1800). This classic chest of drawers design is of excellent proportions with an elegantly weighted top with moulded edge. The mahogany has a striking grain pattern and figure, which comes alive in the sunlight.

The graduated drawers all have cockbeading, working locks, solid oak sides and bases, with dovetailed joints. The drawers are a good size for storage of lots of clothes. All the drawers run smoothly.

The chest sits well on splayed bracket feet, which are typical of this time period.

Its has recently been professionally restored and french polished, while still retaining evidence of its age, and is in excellent condition.
