An excellent quality Victorian (1889) mahogany pedestal writing desk with a tooled light green leather writing surface, a polished panelled back & sitting on bases of nice proportions. It’s in very good condition, having just been French polished. This piece has the makers mark of 17.2.1889. All the drawers have original brass handles & they are graduated in depth. The key is present and all locks work. This is a good working desk with a good sized kneehole space, with fine dovetails in the drawers & solid mahogany drawer sides and bottoms. This desk lifts apart into three sections for easy transportation.
