Large (5ft by 3ft), excellent quality Edwardian mahogany pedestal writing desk with a tooled olive green hide leather writing surface, a polished panelled back & sitting on bases of excellent proportions. It’s in very good condition, having just been French polished. There are also historical repairs present. This piece has the makers signature and date of 14.5.06. All the drawers have original brass handles & they are graduated in depth. Locks and keys are present. This is a good working desk with a generous sized kneehole space, with fine dovetails in the drawers & solid oak drawer sides and bottoms. This desk lifts apart into three sections for easy transportation.
