A Large 17th Century Inlaid Oak Coffer

This is a lovely old piece, with a superb patina, the chest has four chamfered moulded panels on the front with a heavy oak plank top
The front also has a diamond inlaid border top and bottom, and it stands on short legs, one of the back legs has a very old repair but it is strong and sturdy

Inside the Coffer is clean, it has staple hinges, there are a few old shrinkage splits on the top of the coffer but all part of the genuine character, a lovely piece full of good honest character
The coffer is 50” long, 22” deep and 31” high
