Description

A French 19th Century Hand Cart or Market Trader’s Barrow

The Cart or Barrow comes from Brittany, it was used by a farmer to take her produce to the local market, it is covered in very old faded pink paint, I am not sure what colour it was originally.
The cart is made in wood probably pine and it is in surprisingly good condition, it has always been stored indoors and so not had to suffer harsh weather
The cart has wooden wheels with iron rims and axle and iron leaf springs
It is a sturdy little thing, the paint is a little shabby but it has a good authentic look, it all in all a very useful piece and work very well as a shop or market display piece

The overall length of the cart is 76” and it is 35” wide and 36” high, the interior is 21” wide, 31” long and 9” high
