Description

Circa 1880 the best brass bound campaign cabinet (box seems an unfair description for something of this quality) I have personally seen. Made in honey colour oak extensively featuring medullary rays from such high quality oak. Fully fitted interior with calendar & pocket watch openings.
In the base is a slide out folding writing slope with leather surface in good order. Lift top with inset inscribed “Parkins & Gotto, Oxford Street, London” who were certainly the retailers & probably makers of this exceptional item (no key or lock pin for slide)
